For years, the Chinese e-commerce site Taobao have been selling copied iPhones by various manufactures the most recent and interesting is the HiPhone 5, which has been selling for a mini £19 or 200 yuan, which compared to the original iPhone 4’s price of £510 is a bargain.
The design of the phone has been based entirely on leaked images of the iPhone 5, and is thinner with less rounded edges than the iPhone 4, but also includes the rumoured curved back, the Shanghai newspaper Metro Express reported that it feels extremely light, but also like a plastic toy.
Personally, I think it is amazing how they can create such a good lookalike with good features and still end up with a price of £19, which defiantly shows me Apple are charging a little too much for their products, but companies see this completely different.
What do you think? Will this be what the iPhone 5 looks like? Do you have one of these phones, what are they like?
