Fibaro UK has today launched two new home automation system in the UK, both using an easy-to-install system that uses something called the Z-Wave, which is a wireless communications protocol, or more simply, a set of digital rules for exchanging data within or between a set of things, thus allowing the user to remotely control more or less everything from an iron to lighting.

In fact there’s a ton of device which this will work with, with 300 manufacturers supporting the device around the world, Fibaro also stated that the Wynn Hotel in Las Vagas even uses more than 65,000 Z-Wave supported devices.

However the brain of the device is actually the home automation systems themselves, which is either the Home Center 2 or the Home Center Lite. Both of which eliminate any need for special knowledge of cables or networking equipment, by using wirelessly controlled smart hubs that connect to a number of sensors and modules around the house.

Basically this means that you can pair either of the devices can connect to anything like a Philips Hue smart LED lightbulb for instance.

To do this you simply need to connect the Fibaro hub to a home router or ethernet port, and then pair it to several devices via the one-click interface, which can then be controlled via a mobile device or computer.

The Fibaro Home Center 2 is now available from the Fibaro UK for £499, and the Home Center Lite is available for £249.
