Square Enix has today revealed that their upcoming RPG Final Fantasy XV (15) will be one of the first games to support the high dynamic range (HDR) mode on the Xbox One S.

This was revealed by Microsoft’s Phil Spencer on Twitter earlier today:

It will come with this support for HDR when it is released this November, however, it does come after Square Enix already already revealed that the game would support HDR on the PlayStation 4 Pro back in September.

We expect a number of other games will support the HDR mode on the Xbox One S, and we already know that games like Forza Horizon 3, NBA 2K17, and Gears of War 4 will feature this support.

We don’t yet know if any existing games would include support for HDR on the Xbox One S, however, Spencer has confirmed that this would be something hard to do in post, so it is unlikely to happen.

Getting back to Final Fantasy 15, it is scheduled for release on November 29th for the PS4 and Xbox One.
