Sqaure Enix announced that it will be launching one of its all-time classics on both mobile and PC, bringing Final Fantasy IX to the latest technology.

Square said that the port will originally launch in 2016, at first making its way to users in Japan. We expect that the port will then make its way to North America and Europe like the other Final Fantasy ports, however there is no word on a release date yet.

On top of that Square also announced that they will be releasing a port of Final Fantasy VII on Android for the first time, which will come with modern game features, featuring auto saves, a high-speed mode and high-definition graphics.

And to tease the whole release, Square Enix published the following game trailer for the upcoming port, it doesn’t reveal too much about the changes in the games, however it does show some HD graphics.
