This week Firefox introduced their new experimental website as part of their Test Pilot for a new service that will allow you to share files that automatically self-destruct.

The service has been called Send and allows you to send a file as large as 1GB from any browser to anyone that you choose to.

These files will only be available on the service for a maximum of 24 hours, or until the person that you sent it to finishes their download of it.

This is pretty cool because normally you would have to go and delete the file later, however, with Send this is entirely automatic, of course, Mozilla isn’t the first company to think about doing this, however, they are one of the first to make it simple.

That all said, this is simply an experiment right now. We don’t know if it will become official yet, but you should definitely check it out if you are interested.
