Despite being a year away from release, we can already get our first look at Star Wars: The Force Awakens today as a new teaser trailer for the film has been release today. Lasting about 90 seconds, the teaser trailer will be shown online and in theatres from today and will provide a first glimpse at what will come from the returning series.

And all in all it looks pretty good.

Of course we can’t actually back that up with any relevance however, given that all we have seen is about 90 seconds of footage, and we don’t much else in terms of the story for The Force Awakens.

What we do know is that it is being directed by J.J. Abrams, and produced by Disney.

The Force Awakens will also feature returning cast members from the original Star Wars trilogy includingMark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, and Harrison Ford, alongside newer actors like John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Lupita Nyong’o, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, Gwendoline Christi, and Andy Serkis.
