Quite the strange yet unique project was launched on Kickstarter this week, called FlexR, it is a piece of hardware that has been designed to allow you to control apps with just your muscles.

To do this, FlexR uses neuromuscular signal tracking which will allow it to track your muscles and then use them to control your smartphone, games console, fitness tracker, virtual reality headset, or other devices.
