Fossil has this week announced its latest addition to its recently announced Q connected wearable line-up, called the Q54 Pilot.

What makes this smartwatch special is that unlike usual smartwatches, the Q54 Pilot features a traditional, analog design that can be synced with a smartphone via Bluetooth, making it “smart”.

Basically, the smartwatch is able to deliver vibrating notifications or LED indications for when a contact you favour is attempting to get hold of you.

Not only that but the smartwatch can also track the steps you make, and your calories.

However as the Q53 Pilot does not have a digital display, all of the management of these notifications, and fitness settings/ tracking are handled directly from the Fossil Q smartphone application.

With the app you will also be able to customise vibration patterns.

The Q54 Pilot will launch in early spring, priced between $175 and $215, depending on strap options.
