It seems as though Freeview might be making an attempt to keep up with the competition, adding a feature that has been offered by YouView for sometime, Freeview have decided to add links to catch-ups services with it’s online tv guide, allowing the user to scroll back to previous showings, clicking the link to go straight to the relevant catch-up service and page within their website.

To do so you simply head over to their programme guide and hit the “Catch Up button”.

In his statement the new media manager at Freeview, Adrian Mack said the following, “Our TV guide is hugely popular and this update makes the user journey simpler and easy to navigate, visitors will now have easy access to catch up content via our new TV guide, instead of having to visit multiple websites and all without the need for a subscription.”

What do you think about this new addition? Is it at all useful?
