Disney’s Frozen has today been announced as the highest grossing original animated film of all time, topping the previous award winner, Finding Nemo with a total takings at the box office of $347.8 million, decimating Finding Nemo’s $339.7 million and making it the highest grossing original (non-sequel) movie of all time.

Around the world Frozen has taken in over $810.3 million and is set to make even more in the coming months with its release in both China and Japan, as well as a sing-a-long version that will soon be released in the US.

Weirdly the film didn’t actually get excellent film reviews with the critics, with an average score of 43% on Metacrtic, personally I really enjoyed the film and would definitely see it again.
