Fuifilm just announced their new telephoto zoom lens for its X range of cameras, which include both the X Pro1 and the X-E1, the new lens has a 55-200mm zoom range, with a maximum aperture of f/3.5 (f/4.8 at the furthest zoom range.)

The lens also includes image stabilisation, with autofocusing speeds of up to 0.28 seconds, which Fuifilm say is due to the introduction of two linear motors.

The lens also includes tow ED lens elements and a HT-EBC coating to reduction reflections, control flare and ghosting.

The lens is controlled via two rings, one for the focus and another for aperture, both of which have been designed using metal for a high quality feel.

As of yet there’s no pricing or release date information for the new lens, but we will be sure to keep you informed.
