Alongside a ton of other cameras Fujifilm have today announced a trio of new superzooms that includes the FinePix SL100, S8200, S8300 and S8500, the flagship model of the pack being the SL100 with a 50x optical zoom with a range of 24-1200mm, f/2.9-6.5 maximum aperture and optical image stabilisation.

The SL1000 also includes a 16 megapixel backside illuminated CMOS sensor that can shoot up to ISO 12,800, and includes a 3 inch vari angle LCD screen and a 920k dot electronic viewfinder.

There are also full manual controls with a mode dial, and a dual zoom toggle control method both on the top of the camera and on one side of the lens barrel.

Each of the camera includes their own features, the S8500 cames with a 46x optical zoom lens with a 24-1104mm zoom range, the S8300 has a 42x optical zoom with 24-1008mm zoom range and the S8200 has a 40x optical zoom with a 24-960mm zoom range.

Each camera features a 3 inch 460k dot LCD screen and in-built 200k dot electronic viewfinder, however the SL1000 is the only one with a vari-abgle screen.

The SL1000 will be available in black and white where as the other models will also be available in red, there’s no news on pricing yet.
