A company called PiixL has today launched a new Kickstarter project to launch a new gaming PC called G-Pack that has been designed to bring the Steam Box to your HDTV in a cohesive manner.

Specifically the G-Pack has been designed to be attached right to the back of a HDTV, providing an ultra-quiet yet high performance gaming system that doesn’t take up too much space.

This is done by attaching the G-Pack to the VESA mount on your HDTV.

PiixL explains the system a little more with the following:

“We’re gamers. We love games: the worlds, the challenges, the whole experience. However, when it comes down to it, gamers are faced with a difficult choice: either go for PCs which provide superior graphics, better pricing and customisability, or choose consoles which offer exceptional interface design, usability and living-room aesthetics.”

“PCs would be the obvious purist choice for running games, but due to their interface and form-factor you’re not able to enjoy them in the comfort of your living room, on your best screen. Sure, you could bring a gaming rig into your lounge but who wants a large, noisy PC tower with lots of wire cluttering up their space?”

“We think that’s a problem, we want to experience the games we love at their best – in fact we demand it. Yet at the same time we don’t want to be stuck at a desk or sacrifice the aesthetic of our living space. That’s why we’ve invented G-Pack.”

The project is looking to raise $150,000 in order to go into production, those who pledge $445 can grab one of the devices at the link below.
