Just as HMV announces that they will no longer be selling tablets, the other rescued retailer in the UK, GAME has announced that it will soon begin selling tablets in its stores nationwide, stocking devices including the iPad 4, iPad Mini and the Nexus 7.

Charlotte Knight the trading director of GAME said that, “tablets are an increasingly popular gaming platform so it’s a natural step for us to be at the heart of providing these to the UK gaming community,” which actually makes sense, tablets are now a huge part of the gaming community, why not sell them in a gaming store, however I’m just not sure why you would buy an iPad from GAME and not Apple.

However they will also be selling the Archos GamePad, a tablet which has been specifically designed with gamers in mind and is something I could personally see fitting in with the brand itself, Charlotte continued her statement to talk about this, “We are really excited about the GamePad, it’s great to be able to offer our customers something that is not only brand new but specifically tailored to gamers.”
