Today Garmin unveiled their new Vivoactive 3 smartwatch during the IFA 2017 event.

This new smartwatch was leaked earlier today and is now official wit support for Garmin’s contactless payment system called Garmin Pay, which supports payments from cards like Visa and Mastercard.

Dan Bartel, Garmin vice president of worldwide sales said the following about it:


“Anyone who is out and about being active can relate to the struggle of where to stash a credit card or cash, and has had to forgo a post-workout snack or coffee as a result, we’re solving that dilemma with Garmin Pay, an exciting feature on the new vívoactive 3. Use it pretty much wherever contactless payments are accepted, and give yourself one less thing to remember when you’re leaving the house.”

It comes with a new sleek design that features a stainless steel design with a circular always-on and high-resolution Garmin Chroma display that they say will provide “great readability in all lighting conditions”.

It will also come with one of three colour options, alongside Garmin’s new Slide Swipe tech for quick scrolling and fast navigation within menus, widgets and stats.

This is also completely ambidextrous, which means that you can use it in any orientation that is most comfortable for you. It also features a sealed design that makes it great for use will swimming or showering.

Garmin also says that it comes with up to a 7-day battery life.
