Garmin announced a brand new connected scale today, called the Index Smart Scale it aims to allow the user to get fit by providing them with details on their weight, BMI, body fat percentage, water percentage, muscle mass and bone mass.

All of this will also sync with Garmin Connect and allow you to view the details on other devices, as well as via your smartphone or browser.

The scale can also be used by up to 16 different users, and will automatically detect each individual when they step on the scales, and then sync their data to the relevant account.

You can also glance at readings via the LCD on the top.

The Garmin Index Smart Scale will be on sale in November, with a retail price of $149.99. There’s no word on UK pricing or availability.
