Gatebox is an interesting look at a personal assistant, it uses artificial intelligence much like the Google Home or Amazon Alexa devices, but unlike those devices, it uses a cylindrical container that shows a CGI anime character to make it more life-like.

It does this by using a two-dimensional rear projected image. In the future, they will allow you to project other videos and characters by connecting a PC to the HDMI port.

That makes it a rather unique and interesting look at the artificial intelligence, bringing it closer to real life.

But the developers have said that its current conversation skills and interactivity are limited.
