Gboard is by far one of the best Android keyboards available, and today it is getting better.

This is with the update that Google released this week, rolling out a new feature that allows Gboard to automatically translate text as the user types within it, which is thanks to the new Google Translate integration.

Before, you would have to type a message, copy it, and then paste it into the Google Translate app to get your translation.

With this update, you get this translation as you type in Gboard, which is way more convenient.

To get started, tap on the G icon with Gboard, and then hit the Translate icon, and you are ready to go.

On top of these new translation features, Gboard is also getting an improved voice typing feature that makes switching between speaking and typing modes easier, along with new background themes, and automatic emoji and GIF suggestions that pop-up as you type.

Google also said that it now also supports sharing GIFs in third-party messaging apps.

At the moment, this new update is only available on Android, however, we expect that it might be released on iOS as well soon.
