Microsoft has today revealed that Gears of War 4 will get a multiplayer beta next month, allowing Xbox owners to check out the game ahead of its release.

The first set of gamers will be able to access the beta early from April 18th, and will be available to anyone who has already played Gears of War: Ultimate Edition on the Xbox One or on Windows 10.

Microsoft will send out these beta access tokens in waves from April 18th.

After this, anyone who subscribes to Xbox Live Gold will be able to play the beta for Gears of War 4 on April 25th, no matter what they have played before.

This multiplayer beta will then conclude on May 1st.

The beta will also only be available to play on the Xbox One.
