This week Gigabyte launched their latest BRIX-branded mini PC for purchase, it’s the first of their new systems and is called the GB-EKi3A-7100, which is probably quite a long name to say so we are going to call it the Gigabyte BRIX IoT mini PC.
This new PC is particularly interesting because it comes with a range of specifications inside of a compact form factor.
These specifications include an Intel 7th Generation Core i3-7100U processor, support for a 1 x COM port, 2 x USB 3.1 ports (one of which is a USB Type-C), and 2 x USB 3.0 ports.
To top that off, it has a HDMI 2.0 port, a Mini DisplayPort 1.2 output, 2 x SO-DIMM DDR4 2133MHz slots for a maximum of 32GB of RAM, 1 x M.2 SSD slot, Intel IEEE 802.11ac Dual Band Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth 4.2, an Intel Gigabit LAN, a headphone/ microphone jack, and a VESA mounting bracket.
All of this measures 0.76L: 180(W) x 117(D) x 36(H) mm in size and weighs 978g.
