Creating GIFs is something we all do at some point, we do it a lot to capture video and post it in an easy to view manner. For the average user, this might be a hard thing to do, thankfully there is an app that can help, well at least on the Mac.

Available to download on the Mac App Store is a new app called Giphy Capture, well we say new, it’s actually a rebuild of the previously popular GIFGrabber application, which has been acquired by Giphy to allow you to create GIFs with their service.

With this update, you don’t just get a new name.

The app now comes with a range of new features that allow you to not only create high definition GIFs, but also share them easier than before.

To capture one you simply need to load up the app, drag the box over the content you want to capture, resize the window to the size you want and then hit record.

After it has been recorded you are then able to edit the GIF yo your choosing, with a range of loops, and the ability to add captions. You can also email the GIF to friends, share it on Facebook, Twitter or Facebook Messenger, save it, or upload it to the Giphy service.

You can read more about the new app and download it from the source link.
