Google has just announced that it will be adding biking directions to their mobile maps application, allowing cyclists to find directions and navigate across the UK and other countries from their smartphone whilst on a bike ride.

The new feature will be available in 10 countries initially including Australia, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK, and follows the features launch on the Desktop application.

The service will include more than 330,000 miles of turn-by-turn directions, which will all be voice-guided navigation to the Google Maps Navigation app, which is currently in beta.
