It has been 10 years since Google first revealed their Google Earth application, and to celebrate the occasion the company has decided to add a brand new feature

Announced on the Google Earth Blog, Google revealed details about the new feature which has been named “Voyager”.

Like its name suggests, Voyager will allow users to explore the earth in more detail with the introduction of new layers that can show more details about locations along with recent imagery of that location.

This all works with the introduction of Street View highlights, EarthView landscapes, 3D Cities and Satellite/ Aerial imagery.

There’s also a new Highlight tour mode that will fly you around the Earth to discover a range of samples from each of the layers.
