Google has today announced the launch of Google Play Services, a new API for developers that allow them to add features much like that offered by Apple’s Game Center for iOS, it will be launching today adding new API’s including, achievements, leaderboards, cloud saves, real-time multiplayer that will allow 4 friends within a Google Plus circle to play in a session together.

The games already using these new services includes World of Goo, Super Stickman Golf 2, Beach Buggy Blitz, Kingdom Rush, Eternity Warriors 2, and Osmos.

Other developers can use the API’s today however, and Google will be launching an SDK for Android, and a native iOS SDK for iPhone and iPad games.
