Google has decided today to go back to basics with search, providing the ability the write out your search with your own handwriting.

Whilst it does seem scary writing out words with your finger, this feature could be useful for some users, to enable it you just head over to the bottom of the Google homepage, select settings and then ‘enable HandWrite” and you’re away, you may however have to refresh your browser for it to kick in.

As you can see from the image above we tried it out and I’ve gotta say it works really well, probably the best I’ve seen without the need to install software.

The new feature will only run on tablets or smartphones running Android 2.3+ or iOS 5+ however, check out the video below for more details.
