In case you didn’t know, Chromecast is a device that lets you stream content from applications such as YouTube, Google Play Movies, Google Play Music and Netflix to your TV, all you have to do is plug-in the stick and connect it to a wireless connection.

To mark the launch Google will also be launching BBC iPlayer for the service in the UK, France TV Pluzz and SFR TV in France and many more in various other countries.

In the UK you can pick up a Chromecast from the Google Play Store, where it is available for £30.
