From today Google are added over a 100 new virtual keyboard, transliteration and IMEs to the Gmail service, allowing you to type in the language and keyboard that you would normally,.

The new input tools can easily be activated within the Language section of the Settings menu, and will bring a new Input Tools icon to the Gmail taskbar, allowing you to easily select a new language or keyboard.

Within the new virtual keyboards there is typing support for 75 new languages, which is a huge upgrade from the previous 5.
