Finally Google Music has gone live in the UK, allowing UK residents to use the service alongside our friends across the pond.

The service allows Android owners to browse and purchase music from their smartphone, tablet or PC much the same to iTunes, or Google Play.

The store will in fact use the same layout as Google Play with Genres, Top Albums and Top Songs available to browse through, once you find a track any music you like can be streamed or purchased through your device and saved onto the cloud, which can then be downloaded to your device if you wish.

Tracks will start at 79p, and the service should be available for anyone running a device with Android 3.0 Honeycomb or later from today.
