Today Google released a new update for their Google Photos app on the iPhone and iPad, bringing with it a range of new features that they hope will make the app better to use for iOS users.

The main new feature in this new version of Google Photos is the new compatibility with Apple’s AirPlay software, allowing you to stream videos and photos to a connected Apple TV set top box from the Google Photos app by using AirPlay.

That’s a pretty cool feature as AirPlay is easy to use and simply works, getting support for it in any application is a real plus.

It is available for any iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch that is running iOS 9 or above.
