According to reports that were posted this week, the Google Pixel 2 and the Pixel 2 XL may be the first new Android smartphones with the latest Snapdragon processor.

Called the Qualcomm Snapdragon 836, it was recently unveiled as the successor to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 featuring enhanced tech that allows it to be around 10% faster than the 835, which is a lot bigger than the percentage might suggest.

Previously we heard that the Note 8 would be the first to have the processor since that’s what Samsung normally does, however, the majority of rumours and now suggesting that it will feature an 835 or a Samsung Exynos processor depending on your country.

These new Pixel XL 2 rumours come alongside what we have heard previously.

This includes a range of specifications that suggest that the Pixel 2 will have a 5-inch display while the Pixel 2 XL will have a 5.5-inch display.

It has also been reported that both will feature a Quad HD resolution of 2,560 x 1,440-pixels, 4GB of RAM, and 128GB of storage inside.

Finally, we have heard that the new Pixel smartphones will launch on Android 8.0.

At the moment, there’s no official news so we don’t know for fact, however, it has been reported that the new Pixel 2 smartphones will be launched sometime in October.

We will let you know if we hear the official stuff.
