Due to threats of Hurricane Sandy hitting the east coast in the U.S. Google has decided to postpone their Android event on October 29th.

Before it was postponed the company was expected to release their new line-up of Nexus products as well as improvements to the Jelly Bean OS in New York.

Due to the storm making its way to the eastern seaboard, transport has had to be cancelled and in order to be safer than sorry Google has decided it’s best to postpone until a later date.

We don’t have too much information as Google has not released much information just yet, with the following short statement:

“We are canceling our Monday morning event in New York due to Hurricane Sandy. We will let you know our plans as soon as we know more.”
