Google’s Gboard keyboard application has been a godsend since it was first unveiled, allowing you to make conversations faster with instant Google searching and great predictive typing that even suggest emoji to type.

Today Google updated that app for iOS, adding a feature that some people might have missed, voice dictation.

With the latest version of Gboard on iPhone and iPad, you can use this new voice dictation feature by long-pressing the space bar, this will bring up an overlay screen with a mic on top, say what you want and Gboard will do the rest.

On top of this, the update also adds support for 15 new languages, notably including Dutch, Russian, Malay, and Polish.

It also adds the latest emoji, with access to Google’s Doodles, which are the doodles that Google normally puts on their homepage to celebrate events and holidays.

With this feature, you can tap the “G” logo on the app and Gboard will animate the Doodle.

All of these new features are only available for the iOS version of the app, however, they will be making its way to Android soon.
