Each year Google always plans to fool us all with one of the newest updates to their site, this year they have decided to do it early with the release of an 8 bit version of Google Maps for NES, the customised cartridge will according to Google allow players to enjoy all of the benefits of maps in an 8 bit form.

To use the service all you have to do is insert the cartridge into your NES, connect to the internet and your away. The 8-bit version will also allow you to search for directions just like the web version alongside other exclusive features, such as using the microphone to search.

Google Maps will be available in Google’s store soon, but you can trail it now by going to the ordinary maps page and clicking on ‘quest’ which is placed in the upper right-hand corner, check out the video below for more details. (the trial is real btw)
