Today GoPro announced the launch of a brand new app that will make it much easier to edit video from the various GoPro cameras out there.

It’s called QuikStories and allows you to automatically edit and create videos from your camera on your smartphone, without having to do anything and all in the background.

The app will cut video, add in effects and even time the video with music to make the perfect video compilation.

It will replace GoPro’s current Capture app on the iPhone and Android, so it does all that wile allowing you to control what your GoPro camera actually shots. Within the app you simply need to set it to automatically pull content from the camera that you have connected and then the rest is automatic, however, you can edit this cut yourself by tapping the pencil icon on any part of the timeline and then choosing the clips that you want to be shown and if you want the clip to be cut or not.

This function will also allow you to name the video and choose the music that plays back.
