Microsoft has today shown off some more information for the upcoming Halo 5: Guardians multiplayer beta. This was unveiled during Microsoft’s Gamescom 2014 event, where they also revealed that the beta will be available to all owners of Halo: The Master Chief Collection.

They also announced that Halo: The Master Chief Collection will feature all of the current halo games but improved to 60 fps, meaning that the games will now include enhanced graphics and sound, as well as a beta key to Halo 5: Guardians of course.

That key will allow players to try the game before it releases between December 29th and January 18th.

During that time gamers will be able to try out the multiplayer’s 4v4 format, with 11 sandboxed weapons and 7 armor sets available.

The beta will also work with a system called “Fair Starts”, which will ensure everyone has the same load-out on both sides, making it more balanced to those who participate and allowing 343 to get the most helpful feedback available.

Halo 5: Guardians will also run at 60 frames per second, and will use Microsoft’s dedicated servers for faster match-ups.

343 also announced that certain unlocked items will transfer from the beta to the full Halo 5: Guardians game.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection, will arrives on November 11th on the Xbox One, but whilst you wait check out the new Gamescom trailer for Halo 5: Guardians below.
