After announcing the new free-to-play virtual trading card game called Hearthstone earlier last year, Blizzard has today revealed that Hearthstone is now in open beta, after being in a closed beta for some time.

This means that anyone with a PC or Mac can now play the game, just hit up the Blizzard website, click to download to appropriate game client for your machine, and hit play when it’s ready.

Blizzard have also said that despite it still being in beta, they will not be performing anymore wipes to users trading cards, so whatever you collect now will stay with you forever.

So far the open beta is limited to the North American region, however Blizzard will be opening the beta to other regions over the next few days, however it will not be unlimited, so get in whilst you can.

Mobile versions of the game will also be released soon.
