Sony has this week officially revealed that they are working on a new smartphone called the Sony Xperia E5, which they posted a photo of above.

However, as of yet, they have not revealed any specific information about the E5.

Rumours suggest that the Sony Xperia E5 will have a 4.6-inch HD display with a 1,280 x 720-pixel resolution.

They also say that that it will be powered by a MediaTek MT6735 processor, which is said to be backed up by 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage.

According to rumours, the device will also feature a microSD card slot, with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera and another 13-megapixel camera around the back.

It is also said that the device will run on Android Marshmallow.

However, nothing official has been revealed yet.

That said, the device does show the date June 5th, 2016, which could hint at a reveal for that date. We will update you when we know more.
