Yesterday, during a live event Tesla Motors unveiled their brand new affordable electric vehicle.

Called the Tesla Model 3, it was unveiled by Elon Musk during the event, who revealed that the Model 3 will be priced at $35,000 and it will begin shipping from late 2017.

The Tesla Model 3 will be a smaller and sportier version of the Tesla Model S, including a bonnet design that is similar to Tesla’s original roadster. It is also said to be more powerful, with a 5-second 0-60mph time.

Tesla also says that this kind of performance won’t affect the cars range, which is said to be 215 from a full charge.

Tesla says that in order to help its adoption, they will also be doubling the number of Superchargers worldwide by the time the car is released.

The car will also come with Autopilot as standard, which allows for assisted driving and future proofing.

It will also come with a 5-star safety rating that is guaranteed in all categories, with a five seater interior, and the same massive tablet screen that you will find in the Model S, however, that is about it.

You can register for the Tesla Model 3 now, but you will have to leave a $1,000 deposit to do so.
