Today Honeywell took to the crowdfunding platform Indiegogo to launch a brand new smart home security system that they aim to take on the other options in the market with a range of unique features and a sleek design.
Honeywell says that it is a self-installed and all-in-one security solution for your whole home, bringing smart home features with it to make securing your home easy with a range of features.
The main element of this system is the base station, which comes with Amazon’s Alexa system in built alongside the ability to push notifications to your phone and even offer facial recognition via the integrated 1080p camera, which comes with a 145-degree viewing angle.
And with Alexa and the integrated speaker and microphone, Honeywell hopes that you will be able to control this whole system and the rest of your smart home with just your voice, including both third-party sensors and smart home accessories and Honeywell’s own indoor and outdoor sensors, as well as their motion viewers, which will alert you if a door or window has been opened.
You can set this up via the base station, with adjustments based on a schedule, location-based geofencing, and even with a range of event and scene triggers.
On top of that, you will also be able to monitor video and audio recordings via the app.
Take a closer look at it in the video below.
The Honeywell smart home security system is expected to launch for around $499, however, at the moment, Honeywell is looking for funding from backers on Indiegogo, who will get up to a 38 percent discount on the system from now until December 16th.
