During my school years, I can remember playing finger skating with everything from a pencil all the way up to an actual finger sized skateboard, more for the purposes of fiddling rather than actually trying to skate.

The idea of finger skating hasn’t changed much over the last few years, however, a new Kickstarter project hopes to change that.

Called the HoverHandBoard, it is basically the future of finger skating, allowing you to perform a range of tricks in mid-air from kick-flips. You simply place your hand on the board to control it like an old finger board.

Unlike the old version, the HoverHandBoard also features a built-in gyro, an electronic device that will measure angular velocity, and a sensor to measure stability and direction.
