HP have today announced that they will be getting back into the tablet business, but this time not with webOS.

Announcing their latest Slate 7 tablet during MWC 2013 earlier today, the tablet features a 7 inch display with a 1024×600 resolution, 1.6GHz dual-core Cortex A9 processor, 1GB of RAm, 8GB of in-built storage, 3 megapixel camera on the back, VGA camera on the front and of course, Beats Audio.

The tablet will run Android Jelly Bean, with Google services such as Now, and there will be no OEM skin on top, however they will be including their own HP ePrint application.

The Slate 7 will originally launch in the US this April or $169, in both red and slate grey, there’s no information on a UK release date or pricing yet however.
