This morning HTC were busy announcing their brand new Android handset, which they have called the HTC Explorer, which is currently the company’s most affordable mobile available and is ideal for anyone looking to buy a simple handset, within a budget, the phone itself comes with some pretty basic features, which do not include the usual dual-core processor or the super high-resolution display.

Although the phone does have its own 3.2-inch HVGA capacitive touch display, a 600MHz processor alongside a 3-megapixel camera, as well as this the Explorer also runs Google’s 2.3.5 Andriod OS with the usual HTC Sense 3.5 overlay. The phone also looks really good with a wide range of colors available, including two shades of black as well as a  metallic orange, white and purple.

currently there is no word on pricing, cut you can expect around £200 for the device, as well as being available free on most contracts, so defiantly won’t break the bank, if you want the phone you will have to wait until release but it will be available in Africa, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

What do you think? Is the Explorer a possible purchase for you?
