HTC has today announced that their mid-range Desire 500 is now available in the UK, to be sold at Carphone Warehouse exclusively, the Desire 500 brings a number of HTC’s new well-known features like HTC BoomSound, Sense and BlinkFeed, alongside a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 4.3 inch screen, an 8 megapixel camera with a dedicated HTC ImageChip processor that can record Full HD video, as well as a 1.6 megapixel shooter on the front.

There’s also support for up to 64GB of microSD cards, with a 1800mAh battery and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

At the moment the HTC Desire 500 isonly available on contract from a number of carriers including TalkTalk, O2 and Orange starting at £15 a month.

At the moment there’s no information on weather the handset will be available on Pay as you Go.
