At an event in New York today HTC today unveiled the HTC Desire Eye, which is a device that features a 13MP front-facing camera as its main feature. The front-facing camera also has auto-focus, zoom capabilities, a BSI sensor and an f.2,2 wide-angle lens.

On the back there;s also another 13MP sensor that features a BSI sensor with a f/2.2 22mm wide-angle lens.

The rear-facing and front-facing camera can also record in Full 1080p HD video, and features a Dual LED flash.

Both cameras can also utilise the new HTC Eye Experience camera software, alongside Screen Share, Split Capture, Auto Selfie, Voice Selfie and Crop Me In functions.

In terms of other specs the Eye has a 5.2 inch Full HD 1080p display, a 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, and a microSD slot that can add an additional 128GB of storage.

The smartphone also has a 151.7 x 73.8 x 8.5 mm frame with HTC BoomSound technology, and the smartphone also has a 2,400 mAh battery.

As of yet we don’t have release date for the HTC Desire Eye or pricing for it.
