As has been rumoured for some time now, HTC have today announced the release of a new reimagined HTC One M8, running on the latest version on Microsoft’s Windows Phone OS, Windows Phone 8.1.

The new Windows Phone M8 will also support Microsoft’s digital assistant Cortana, allowing users to control some actions their phone with only their voice. It also has access to the Action Centre which shows all of the users notifications, the Apps Corner which allows users to sandbox apps and folders into protected areas, and all of the other Windows Phone 8.1 features.

Alongside that it also features some of HTC’s own technologies including HTC BlinkFeed fro quick access to content and social networks on the home screen , HTC BoomSound for an improved sound from the dual front-facing speakers and HTC’s Duo Camera with UltraPixel technology.

Aside from that the rest of the specs are the same as the Android version of the HTC One M8, including the same design.

The HTC One M8 for Windows will be available exclusively from Verizon Wireless in the US for $99 on a $29.99 a month 24-month contract. As of yet there’s no word on whether the phone will make it to any other countries.
