HTC announced that its VR headset will be available to pre-order from February 29th, priced at $799 it will come as part of a partnership with Steam in the form of the final consumer edition of the headset.

The biggest new feature since the Vive was first demoed at CES 2016 is new connectivity, allowing the user to connect to the headset on their Android or iOS device via Bluetooth.

Once connection, the Vive will be able to receive calls and let you know about messages whilst in virtual reality.

It also has a microphone, so you can take those calls right from the headset.

It also features some minor design tweaks.

The HTC Vive will be available to pre-order from 10AM EST/ 3PM GMT on February 29th for $799 for the full package.

With this you get the headset, two room sensors, two wireless VR controllers, connectors, cables, Vive earbuds and the Job Simulator: The 2050 Archives and Fantastic Contraption games.

You do need a computer to run it, but we don’t yet know exactly what those required specs will be, the Vive will ship to 24 countries initially, including USA, UK and widely across Europe.
