You may have been hoping for a brand new tablet on Christmas Day but didn’t seem to get one? Well if you live in the UK you may just be in luck, as certain British retailers will be reducing the prices of tablets that are struggling to sell, the first tablet is the HTC FLyer which has been reduced to £199.99, along with the BlackBerry Playbook which has also been reduced to £169.

The HTC Flyer is a very good looking 7-inch tablet, but was first released with Android’s Gingerbread OS instead of the most recent Honeycomb OS, alongside it’s $479.99 price tag, making it £80’s more expensive than Apple’s iPad 2.

With Currys, Dixons and PC World now selling the 16GB Wi-Fi only model for a slashed £199.99, and if you desire you can add an extra 16GB’s of storage and 3G conectivity for an extra £50.

But if this is still a bit too pricey, you could also try the BlackBerry tablet which has also been reduced to £169 at Currys, Dixons, PC World and Carphone Warehouse.

Will you be buying a reduced tablet this weekend?
