A number of phones are finally getting the latest version of Android after handsets have been stuck with old versions for some time now.
Thankfully, HTC has been pretty good at updating these devices with the latest versions of Android for some time now, and today is another part of that as HTC’s VP of Product Management, Mo Versi revealed that the HTC One A9 would soon get the Android 7.0 Nougat update.
HTC One A9 Unlocked Owners! We have received technical approval on the Nougat OS update, and OTA will begin tonight!

It is available for unlocked versions of the A9 that were sold in the US.
This is a great announcement for A9 owners as they get some new features in a device that is rather old now.
These features include multi-window functionality, new quick settings features, an improved set of notifications, and a lot more.
The update will be rolled out in phases over-the-air, so you might not have it just yet, however, it will make its way to you eventually, hopefully over the next few days.
We don’t yet know about the launch of the update elsewhere yet, but we would expect to see something about that soon.
We will let you know as soon as we do.
