Alongside the normal Ascend P8, Huawei announced the Huawei Ascend P8 Max, which features a 6.8 inch Full HD display 1,500:1 contrast ratio 95.9% colour saturation.

They also say it has a 83% screen to body ratio, and the phone itself is only 6.8mm, despite the larger display.

Huawei have also customised the UI for the bigger display, allowing user to view the apps in the phone in landscape, as well as use a multi task view, allowing you to use multiple apps at once.

It also includes a 4,360 mAh battery that is said to last for 10 hours when streaming movies, 60 hours with music, 15 hours when surfing the net and 15 hours when watching saved movies.

Huawei says this is about 1 day for heavy user, or 2.23 days for normal usage.

The body also uses Corning Gorilla Glass 4 with the same metal unibody design as the normal P8 smartphone.

Because of the large size, Huawei has also included functionality with the talk band to allow for calls without having to hold the phone up to your ear.

The P8 Max will be priced at 549 Euros for the standard version with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, or 649 Euros for the premium version with 3GB RAM and 64GB of storage.

The standard is available in Titanium Grey and Mystic Champagne, whilst the premium will be available in Carbon Black and Prestige Gold.

It will be available in over 30 countries within the next month.
