Rumours have suggested that Huawei are to unveil a successor to the Ascend Mate for sometime now, but today we have received some more information about the handset.

Reportedly called the Huawei Ascend Mate 2, it is said to feature a 6.1 inch display with a Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, alongside a quad core 1.6GHz HiSilicon Kirin 910 processor, Mali-450 GPU, 16GB of storage,and an 8 megapixel camera with an LED flash and 1080p video recording, as well as a 1MP 720p front-facing camera.

According to rumours the Huawei Ascend Mate 2 will be announced at the same time as the Huawei Ascend P6S, which is expected to be announced before the end of this year.
